1970 – Santana released his single "Black Magic Woman.”

1987 - Sonny and Cher took appeared on Late Night with David Letterman show to sing "I Got You Babe.”

1990 - The Who guitarist Pete Townshend confessed his bisexuality in an interview with Newsweek.

1992 - John Cascella, who played keyboards in John Mellencamp's band, was discovered dead in his car in Indiana. Authorities believed his death was the result of a heart attack.

1995 - The Rolling Stones released an acoustic album, Stripped.

2000 - Michael Abram went on trial for attacking George Harrison and his wife Olivia in their U.K. home on December 30, 1999.
