1963 - The Beatles made an appearance on the U.K. TV show Jukebox Jury.

1964 - The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson suffered a nervous breakdown while on a flight from L.A. to Houston. His poor mental state would lead to Wilson's decision to stop touring with the group.

1966 - Nancy Sinatra appeared on the CBS TV special Frank Sinatra: A Man & His Music Part II.

1968 - Eric Burdon announced that the Animals would disband following a December 22nd concert at Newcastle City Hall. Burdon planned to go to California to pursue an acting career.

1986 - Huey Lewis and the News sang an a capella version of the national anthem at football game between the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Jets at San Francisco's Candlestick Park.

1991 - U2's Achtung Baby debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's pop albums chart.

1993 - Guns N' Roses announced a decision to keep the Charles Manson-written tune, "Look At Your Game, Girl" on their album, The Spaghetti Incident? The band opted to keep the song after discovering that the royalties would go to the son of one of Manson's victims.
