1966 - The Jimi Hendrix Experience played their London debut at the Bag O' Nails Club.
1984 - The British and American stars who teamed up for Band-Aid, a humanitarian project formed by Bob Geldof, recorded "Do They Know It's Christmas". Proceeds from the record went toward Ethiopian famine relief.
1997 - The Zombies' original lineup performed onstage for the first time in 30 years.
