1965 - Bob Dylan married Sara Lowndes.

1967 - Arlo Guthrie released  the classic Alice's Restaurant.

1968 - The Beatles released a self-titled double album. However, the effort would later come to be known as The White Album.

1992 - Paul Simon embarked on his first tour of South America with a show in Brazil.

1994 - Prince released The Black Album.

1997 - INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence was discovered dead at the age of 37 in his Double Bay, Australia hotel room. The singer committed suicide by hanging.
