1973 - David Bowie made his first appearance on a TV special, 1980 Floor Show, which aired on NBC's Midnight Special.
1974 - Stevie Wonder released "Boogie On Reggae Woman.
1978 - The film version of The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band opened, with The Bee Gees, Peter Frampton and Billy Preston all making their acting debuts in the picture.
1981 - KISS released "The Elder".
1987 - Lenny Kravitz married actress Lisa Bonet. They would separate in 1990 and later divorce in 1993.
1988 - Former Beach Boys manager Stan Love, who is also the brother of lead singer Mike Love, was sentenced to 5 years probation after he was found guilty of embezzling over $300,000 from the band.
1988 - KISS released Smashes, Thrashes & Hits.
